London After Midnight - Literally
Its now Wednesday and I still haven't updated from the weekend, so here it is.

Saturday night Jason, [info]mazrob and me took a train down to Camden and the Dev to meet her comrade Howard so she could go with to Vagabonds.

After a drink the the Dev we made our way to Islington ad Islington Academy to see London After Midnight.

Following this, we took up on the free entry to Slimes that came with ticket. Upon entering we found Fonz (aka Pirate Fonz), [info]cybermuppet, little James and a few other faces familiar from both reality and the intertubes.

EDIT: Also forgot to mention Lehannya live at Slimes was fantastic, as was seeing Sabby, [info]postie_chris and a number of other familiar faces.



In the new Dev, one of the stickers that stood out on the bar was the 'Expect a punch if you have this haircut on 6-6-06', with a load of emo haircuts surrounding it. One of the bar staff had that S.O.P.H.I.E wristband on. Pretty much sums up the attitude of most people I've met who are into the S.O.P.H.I.E campaign - don't attack people for how they dress, unless they're emo/chav/delete as appropriate. Can't we just concede ANYONE who would attack anybody for such things is an idiot who should be locked away? (Including Goths, metallers, punks, cybers etc who saw fit to punch emos on the 6-6-06)?

Anyhow, good weekend! Now back to work.

Ah yeah, forgot to mention Lahannya. This was naughtily written while at work so had to skip some details. They were fantastic!

Also saw [info]post_chris and a good few others.

Thanks for the pics! I hope to see LAM live someday. Sean IS definitely one of the prettiest men in music, and he's got one of my favorite voices as well. :D

Met Sean in Slimelight! He came and spoke to me, [info]cybermuppet and Jason. Which amusingly was in London, after midnight.

Seen them twice now, both times pretty good. I imagine this backing videos don't go down as well in America itself since its all anti-American stuff.

I was actually really suprised when I first sound out they weren't English. The accent should have been a hint you'd think lol.

I'm reading about Puritans in history. The thing with the Emos and the punching reminds me of their hypocritical colonial policies.

I don't really know anything about the Puritans, but hypocritical sums up the attitude.

Basically, they were a religious group in the 1600's who moved to the Colonies (later to be the USA) to escape persecution, then were intolerant towards other religious sects.
